North Branch Construction is Hiring a Training Specialist Near Concord, NH

The Training Specialist will organize, facilitate, and deliver training programs for employees including administrative, supervisory, and field staff. Heavy focused on field technical skills training.
Applicants will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry (framing, window and door installation, finish carpentry, etc.). We are looking for an experienced tradesperson that has a passion for training the next generation and helping grow individuals professionally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts employee training on various skills, policy, and compliance areas.
  • Develops training and development programs and objectives.
  • Teach appropriate ways to handle technical construction problems and how to trouble shoot them.
  • Teach construction skills including demolition and carpentry along with appropriate use of equipment and tools through demonstrations, modeling skills, directing, and monitoring performance and skill level.
  • Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes.
  • Ensures worksite safety, learning of safety procedures, and proper construction techniques.
  • Collaborates with outside consultants and training providers to deliver training.
  • Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and HR staff.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
